Oshoala Scores And Ohale Scores An Own Goal As Barcelona Beat Alaves 4-0

Alavés 0-4 Barça: And they do it again

With 19 wins in 19 games, there seems to be no end to the women's team's rampant form

Barça have kept their 100 per cent record alive in the Liga F. On Saturday they were simply too good Alavés, although especially early on, the Basques put up a sterner fight than the final scoreline might suggest.

After coming out wearing shirts in support of the earthquake victims on Turkey and Syria and respecting a minute's silence, the game began with Barça utterly dominating but unable to turn any of their many chances into goals.

It was Oshoala who finally got things moving after 32 minutes with her 18th goal of the season, capping a delightful move also featuring Claudia Pina and Fridolina Rolfö.

The highly active Swede was also involved in the second goal, which goes down in the books as an own goal by Ohale. There could have been more before the break, with Oshoala having two great chances, one of which hit the post.

The home side were again saved by the woodwork in the second half, not once but twice. While Sandra Paños' gloves were barely warmed, Jana was doing wonders on the home side's goal to keep the score down, and the hour mark had passed before Aitana Bonmatí finally netted goal number three. The great piece of opportunism meant the three points were as good as settled.

Claudia Pina finished off the job by converting a magnificent pass from Lucy Bronze, and Barça go into the international break knowing that everything is going to perfect plan in the domestic championship. 19 out of 19. Incredible.
