Nigerian Students Declare 3 Days Prayers For Buhari

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has declared three-day prayers for the quick recovery and early return to Nigeria of President Muhammadu Buhari.
A statement signed by NANS President Chinonso Obasi and was made available on Monday in Abuja, said that the prayers would start on Wednesday.
Obasi said that Nigerian students would join other patriotic citizens to intercede on behalf of the President, who has been on extended medical vacation in the UK.
“As leaders of tomorrow and champions of a better Nigeria, we should not be left out in the national call for prayers for the President, especially now that his presence is needed for the country to navigate its way out of economic recession and political despair,” part of the statement said.

HEART OF WORSHIP - UPPER ROOM EXPERIENCE

We are creatures of habit. If we don’t find ways to remind ourselves why we do what we do, we’re prone to just go through the motions, if not adopt some new underlying motivation altogether. Which can be especially dangerous in worship.

The vision came in a remarkable experience that was both personal and corporate. The convener of Ara-n-bada Afrika  sensed that their worship gatherings were going flat spiritually, that true worshiper was going through the motions, and worship wasn’t flowing from the heart, like true Christian worship must.
" But a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in Spirit and in truth, for the Father is seeking such as there to worship Him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and Truth. "
 John 4:23-24
The essence of worship is not the many good externals, but heart and head. Spirit and truth. Our spirit, stirred by the Holy Spirit, in worship over true things about God, his Son, and his gospel.
Come and lets experience the mightiness of the "Upper Room" at the Upper Room Experience. Tagged: "Heart Of Worship" Date: 20th January, 2017 Time: 9:00 pm. Venue: Assemblies Of God Church, Orita, behind Police Station, Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria.
The heart of worship is our heart, delighting in Jesus and expressing praise to him for the true things the Scriptures teach us about who he is and what he has accomplished for us. It is, then, “all about” Jesus, not us. It involves us, but we’re at the periphery. He’s at the center. He’s the focus. It’s his commands we consider first, not our preferences. Our prayer and aim is about refocusing, and re-centering, and reminding ourselves why we worship — and who we worship.
God Bless You!
