Whenever you feel an unarmed lone police officer put your family in danger (God forbids it), go ahead and slap the officer. Do it in Nigeria and the USA where you visit often. 

I’m certain eminent Nigerians will bring up this argument of yours in your defence.

How Much Do Guinness World Record Holders Get Paid?

Contrary to what many people believe, entering the Guinness Book of World Records does not have any type of economic compensation.

Therefore, you will not receive a single euro, pound or dollar for breaking a record. However, beyond the money, you do get a great recognition, besides the pride of being the best at something.

The institution's own regulations specify that those who beat an existing record, as well as those who set a new record, are not paid anything.

"As the world's foremost authority on world records, our role is to celebrate the best in the world, to inspire all people, to entertain and to inform," state Guinness World Records.

"For those reasons, we do not pay record breakers for their achievements or for making an official record title attempt. Nor can we cover any expenses, offer sponsorship or provide equipment for the performance of any official record attempt.

"In addition, we do not make contributions to individuals, charities or companies. This is in order to maintain our impartial stance as the world authority on record title registration and to ensure the inclusion of all applicants."

However, in the vast majority of cases, the protagonists of the records usually have advertisers or sponsors who finance their preparation.

20 Things About Hilda And Her Guinness World Record Marathon Cooking Attempt

1. Her real name is Hilda Bassey Effiong. She is a young Nigerian chef from Nsit Ubium LGA in Akwa Ibom State, She owes a food brand in Lagos called "My Food by Hilda"

2. She will be cooking for 4 days non-stop.

3. She must stand to cook, she is not permitted to sit while cooking.

4. She’s not allowed to take coffee, stimulants, or any energy drink to artificially boost her energy and bodily strength while cooking.

5. She's allowed to eat food, drink water or fruit juice, and take glucose.

6. The cooking is taking place at Amore Gardens, Lekki, Lagos State, Nigeria.

7. She cooks round the clock, no sleep (Morning, afternoon, evening, and night. So, for 4 nights, she won't sleep)

8. She has just 5 minutes rest per hour [meaning for every 1 hour, she is entitled to just 5 minutes rest or break, that's an hour break in every 12 hours].

Singer Seun Kuti was caught on video pushing and slapping a police officer during a confrontation at Third Mainland Bridge. 

Though it is unclear what led to the confrontation, but the police officer was calm while being confronted by the singer.

SERIOUS ASSAULT ON POLICE OFFICER: IGP CONDEMNS ACT, ORDERS IMMEDIATE ARREST OF SEUN KUTI

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, CFR has ordered the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command to arrest Afrobeat singer, Seun Kuti, who was captured on video assaulting a police officer in uniform. 

The IGP has equally ordered a speedy and full investigation into the remote and immediate cause(s) of the assault and prosecution of the suspect accordingly. 

IGP Usman Alkali Baba assures Nigerians that acts of contempt/disdain for symbols of authority will not be tolerated while offenders of such hideous crimes will be surely brought to book.

Israel Adesanya's Ex-Girlfriend, Charlotte Powdrell, Demands Half Of His Wealth

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight title holder Israel Adesanya is set for controversy as reports emerged that his ex-girlfriend is demanding half of his net worth. 

Adesanya and the woman, reportedly Charlotte Powdrell were never married but dated for a very long time.

On a podcast, UFC fighter Sean O’Malley was not impressed with the demands issued to Adesanya by the woman.

On his podcast, he said, “They are not married right they were never married I didn’t believe it she want’s half of his s*t.

"I don’t know how their relationship was ever because I didn’t even know he had a girlfriend, but to want half of his s*t to want half of what he’s gone out there and done is absolutely ridiculous.

"I mean it’s hard to say who knows maybe if they were together for 15 years since the beginning and she didn’t work because she was constantly making him food massage and at the gym doing all this stuff for him."

Adesanya through his skill as an elite fighter along with incredible business acumen has been able to build an empire.

The woman believes that she has a stake in Adesanya's wealth for supporting him through the years to become UFC Champion.

While the specifics surrounding their finances and partnership are private, her legal action has ignited a discussion about what's fair and deserved. 

Most followers and commentators seem to agree with Adesanya and O'Malley here, feeling she is improperly trying to gain from his fame and fortune rather than the time and devotion they shared.

While some maintain she may have a legitimate claim if their agreement and the assistance she offered can be verified, it's still uncertain how the lawsuit will turn out in the end. 

The case has shown that even the most successful athletes aren't free from personal and money issues. 

This situation is improbable to divert Adesanya's focus from his upcoming title defense against the winner of Dricus du Plessis and Robert Whittaker, but it's been an embarrassing furor he could've done without.

'If You Remove Church, Nigeria Will Collapse’ — RCCG Pastor, Pat Akem-Vingir

The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has dedicated a new church building in Abuja, named ‘Jesus House’, in a ceremony presided over by the General Overseer of the church, Pastor Enoch Adeboye.

The dedication ceremony, which took place on Saturday, was a grand affair attended by thousands of RCCG members and dignitaries from across the country.

The newly completed church building, located in the Durumi area of Abuja, is a magnificent 5-storey facility that can accommodate up to 3,000 worshippers at once.

Speaking at the dedication ceremony, the Pastor-in-Charge of the ‘Jesus House’ parish in Abuja, Major-Gen. Pat Akem-Vingir (rtd), highlighted the importance of the church in Nigeria’s social and economic fabric.

“If you remove the church from Nigeria, the country will collapse. People may deny it, but I am saying it unapologetically.

“If the church were not in Nigeria doing what it is doing; serving as the light of the world and as the salt of the earth, the degradation would have been more than we can imagine.

“70% of the country is youthful. You can’t allow that kind of generation to be wasted. The church is a place where they can find hope, direction and purpose,” he said.

In a brief speech during the dedication ceremony, Pastor Adeboye, who was flanked on both sides by his wife, Pastor Mrs Foluke Adeboye, and the RCCG Continental Overseer, Pastor Ezekiel Odeyemi, expressed his gratitude to God for the completion of the project.

“We thank God for this great day, and for the successful completion of this wonderful edifice. We pray that this building will be a beacon of hope for the afflicted and a place of worship for generations to come,” he said.

The dedication ceremony featured a series of performances by RCCG’s choir, as well as speeches by Mrs Adeboye, senior officials of the church, and other dignitaries.

Among those in attendance were the former Lagos state Commissioner of Police and Deputy Inspector-General of Police (rtd), Pastor Marvel Akpoyibo, who said this new church building is a testament to RCCG’s commitment to the spiritual and physical well-being of the people.

The dedication ceremony culminated in a prayer by Pastor Adeboye, who prayed for the continued growth and prosperity of RCCG, its members and the nation at large.

“We pray that this church building will be a source of blessing to all who enter it and that it will continue to serve as a beacon of hope for the afflicted and a place of worship for generations to come,” he said.
