Atiku Wins Presidential Election In Osun State


 

Atiku Wins 18 LGA Announced In Osun


 The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is winning in 18 out of the 23 local governments announced so far in Osun state.


His closest rival, Bola Tinubu won in five local government areas of the state

Atiku leads in Boluwaduro, Ifedayo, Ila, Odo-Otin, Irepodun, Orolu, Ede-North, Ede-South, Ife-South, Ife-North, Ola-Oluwa, an Ayedire local government council areas.

Other local government areas, where the PDP candidate won, include; Obokun, Oriade, Atakumosa-East, Atakumosa-West, Egbedore, Ilesa-East and Ilesa-West.

Meanwhile, APC’s Bola Tinubu won in Osogbo, Olorunda, Ife-Central, Ife-East and Boripe local government areas with wide margins.

Labour party comes a distant third in the results announced so far by collation officers across local governments in the state before the State Returning Officer, Professor Tolulope Ogunsola of the University of Lagos.

Also, Hon. Taofeek Ajilesoro of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has been returned elected as the representative for Ife federal constituency.

He polled 53,078 votes while APC’s Adereti scored 51,051.

The Presiding Officer, Prof Abdulfatai Makinde, announced the result at Ife Central Collation centre at Oluorogbo Middle School 1, Road 7, on Sunday, in Ile-Ife.

Peter Obi Wins Suleja LGA In Niger State


 The results of the presidential election from the 10 electoral wards announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) official, Dr Hussaini Musa, showed that Obi scored 16,978 votes against the All Progressives Congress candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 15,917 while Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) came third with 11,968 votes.


The Suleja LGA with 10 wards had 149,088 registered voters while 50,358 were accredited for the election.

A total of 49,850 votes were cast out of which 42,028 were valid while 1,822 were invalid.

Meanwhile, the APC won the Niger East Senatorial seat with 18,805 votes. The PDP came second, polling 14,525 votes while LP received 13, 407 votes.

Tinubu Wins Six LGs In Katsina, Atiku Gets One So Far


 The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, has won six out of the seven local government areas of Katsina State already collated.


The results of Saturday’s election have so far been announced in the seven local government areas.

There are 34 local government areas in the state.

The collation of results is being conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission collation centre in Katsina.

Mr Tinubu has polled a total of 82,332 votes across the six local government areas which he has won so far.

His closes rival, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has polled 69,175, with Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) coming behind him with a total of 8,629 votes. Mr Tinubu, however, won Matazu LGA with 12,008 ahead of Atiku who got 9,644 and Mr Kwankwaso who polled 415.

In Kaita LGA, APC got 14,595, PDP 11,793 and NNPP 799.

In Musawa LGA, APC got 14,360, PDP 10,603 and NNPP 2,033.

In Ingawa, APC topped with 12,315, PDP 12,152 and NNPP 3,388.

In Charanci, APC got 12,779, Atiku 8,020 and NNPP 609.

In Dutsi, APC polled 9,258 votes, PDP 8,074 and NNPP 289.

An Okada Rider, Hon. Donatus K. Mathew has won the Federal House of Representatives in Southern Kaduna under Labour Party. Hon. Donatus, who contested Federal House of Representative for Kaura Federal Constituency in Southern Kaduna senatorial District, won the ticket under Labour Party.

According to reports, Mathew was an ex councilorduring ex-governor Ahmed Makarfi administration in Kaduna State, but fell into hard times which led him to driving Okada.

Mathew defeated the incumbent Federal House member, Hon. Gideon Gwani Lucas of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to emerged winner in the keenly contested election. Not only did Matthew won, he also made sure the Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi won in his polling unit.

Tinubu Floors Atiku, Obi In 12 Oyo LGs


 The presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, has defeated the candidates of both the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, and Peter Obi of the Labour Party in 12 local government areas of Oyo State announced so far by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

The centre has gone for a break and it would be reconvened by 4 pm today.

Acting Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Professor Babatunde Olusola, who is the state collation officer, announced the break.
