Apostle Suleman Tells His Church Members To Vote For Peter Obi

General overseer, Omega Fire Ministries, Johnson Suleman, has called on his members to vote for the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

The Pastor, who made the announcement during Sunday service, declared himself and his family “fully obedient” and revealed his background support for Mr Obi.

My children, we are fully obedient, fully, hundred per cent; we are not those who make noise on social media; we work in the background, we support,” he said.

Slightly shading other presidential candidates, the pastor threatened his members, saying, “If you like vote something else, If you like go and vote nonsense, you vote insecurity, tribalism, ethnicity, bigotry.

“Me, I am voting Peter Obi, my wife, Peter Obi, and those that love me, Peter Obi
,” he announced.

He further accused some of his friends of supporting an undisclosed candidate, solemnly for “what they can get” from him.

I have friends across the divide, but most of them are supporting because of what they want to get; they know that who they are supporting is bad,” he added.

He also accused other presidential candidates of “destroying the country” and exempted Mr Peter Obi, saying he is “the one that has not destroyed the nation.”

Mr Suleman is a controversial cleric who often makes the news for the wrong reasons. He has been accused by different female celebrities of sleeping with them, though he has denied all allegations.

Nigeria’s 2023 presidential election is set to hold on February 25.

APC PCC Uncovers Fake Website Blackmailing Tinubu

The All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council (APC PCC) has uncovered an online platform set up to disseminate false and malicious information about Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the ruling APC.

The Director, Media and Publicity of the council, Bayo Onanuga in a statement in Abuja on Sunday gave the website address of the platform as www.Igbotimesmagazine.online .

According to the campaign council, the platformi’s latest false news ” claimed that some EFCC operatives, on the order of President Muhammadu Buhari, raided the “underground home” of Tinubu. It claimed that N400 billion of the new notes weer recovered from there. The story notably lacked the essential “when, where and how” ingredients of any news story, went viral.

“The EFCC has since issued a formal statement on the purported raid by its m as a fake story the public should disregard.
“The dubious website, in its fake story, claimed investigations are still ongoing as to which bank manager made such money available to Tinubu, it then admitted its absurdity when it wrote that “the money recovered in Tinubu’s “underground house” is equivalent of “the entire money printed for the whole Nigeria” by the CBN.

“So, if Tinubu alone has all the money printed by Godwin Emefiele’s CBN, how do you account for the billions distributed by the apex bank to all the banks, including operators of POS?”

The council further said its investigation has linked the platform to the Labour Party.
“The site, which on Twitter and Facebook appears to have links with the Labour Party, went further, in another post, to claim that President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered the arrest of the bank manager that made the phantom money available to the APC candidate.

“In a previous post two weeks ago, the site had claimed that ‘an angry mob blocked N3 billion of new notes heading to Tinubu’s house’.

“Other fake news on the site included one that claimed the Federal Government planned to borrow money from kidnappers in Kaduna because they have more money than our country. It credited the misleading news to Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the Minister of Information and Culture.”

The council advised Nigerians to be wary of every piece of the news emanating from the site and its social media handles.
According to the council, “There will be many of such sites as some candidates become desperate to win at all costs, in fulfilment of some rogue and rigged opinion polls by ANAP Foundation and Nextier, shunning all decent norms and rules.
“The igbotimesmagazine.online with its affiliated social media handles exist for no good of our country.

“It is out to misinform and mislead our people and disseminate malicious information on Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in the up to the 25 February election, which the opposition candidates, including Peter Obi of the Labour Party, are bound to lose.

“We are not surprised that the opposition has embarked on sponsoring a website and social media handles, whose owners are unknown and which lacks physical address or even an email.”

EFCC, ICPC Probe Depositors Of Old Naira At CBN Branch

Depositors of millions of old N500 and N1,000 notes are under the scrutiny of anti-corruption agencies at the Ilorin branch of the Central Bank of Nigeria, DAILY POST reports.

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC and Independent Corrupt Practices Commission, ICPC among others are on ground to monitor lodgments and educate depositors on the implications involved in depositing millions of naira with questionable sources.

Depositors, suspected to be fronting for politicians to lodge money on their behalf, are educated by the anti-graft agencies on their actions.

Security sources at the CBN branch told DAILY POST: “Depositors of millions of naira will have to approach their various commercial banks after one month when the investigation into their sources of money would have been concluded.

The action followed suspicion that some politicians are using people as fronts to lodge money in millions on their behalf as a result of the ongoing new naira swap.”

Officials of the CBN worked on Saturday and Sunday to meet the requests of depositors according to findings by DAILY POST correspondent in Ilorin.

DAILY POST further learnt that sharp practices have been alleged by external officials involved in the exercise as depositors of millions of naira allegedly bribe their way with at least N10,000 to ensure easy processing for their lodgments.

Depositors have to go through three or four stages before counting and final judgment, an official of the bank who requested anonymity confided in DAILY POST correspondent.

He said: “Some depositors stand to forfeit their lodgments if, eventually, they could not give a proper account of their sources of income after investigation by the anti-graft agencies.”

As observed by DAILY POST on Sunday, some of the depositors that thronged the CBN arrived with sacks of naira notes to deposit as directed by the apex bank.
