Wike Donates ₦‎200 Million To Ariaria Traders

Gov Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, has donated a whopping N200 million largesse to traders affected by the on-going remodelling works at the Ariaria International Market, Aba, Abia State.

This was disclosed yesterday by Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu during while inspecting the progress of works at the A-Line section of the market.

He explained that his Rivers State counterpart expressed his sympathy and support to the traders who were displaced as a result of the ongoing work.

Describing Wike as a dependable friend who has stood by him and Abia people, Ikpeazu explained that he had informed the Governor about the ongoing work and he pledged N200 million to assist the traders re-acquire their shops after the reconstruction.

He commended the contractor handling the remodeling works, Blessed Henken International Company, for working in line with specifications and interpreting the government’s vision for the market and urged him to increase the pace of work to ensure early completion.

Ikpeazu explained that the quality of remodelling work at the market has vindicated his interventionist move to remodel Ariaria market after more than 40 years to make it a true international market.

The Governor who also donated N100 million to the traders explained that the donations are for the first 600 original shop allottees to enable them recommence business. Ikpeazu also said he was working hard to complete the new Government House Umuahia before leaving office in May.

“Yesterday, I inspected a brand new government house in Umuahia. The Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu administration is the one that will bequeath a new Government and remodeled A-line in Ariaria International market to the state.

” I take regular visits to inspect projects where I spend money. You need to put speed but don’t compromise quality because my people deserve the best.

“I told my friend, the Governor of Rivers State, Barr. Nyesom Wike, that I’m going to visit Ariaria traders. He was aware that Ariaria international market is being remodelled.

” I have friends who can assist my people and one of them is Gov. Wike. He gave me a message for Ariaria traders. The message he asked me to deliver is that he will pay N500, 000 each for 400 original allottees who are affected by the remodelling works at the market.

“What this means is that he gave N200 million to the concerned traders. The contractor will have to deduct it from the money to be paid for shops by the traders.

“Yesterday, I also approved some money to the traders. I approved the sum of N100 million. This money will also be deducted from the money to be paid for the shops.

“What the two donations mean is that the 600 traders have paid N500, 000 each for the shops. The traders will soon pack in and they will have money to do business. The remodeling of A-line in Ariaria market is almost completed.

“We have also done Faulks (Ariaria) road and we are committed to making life pleasurable for Ariaria traders.

“I will also help the traders to complete their secretariat and commission it. For those who are coming to campaign at Ariaria market, ask them what have they done to assist you?

” Let them provide evidence of what they have done. Don’t allow them to come and deceive you with their sweet tongue and fake promises. 2023 is the time to show full working.

First Vice Chairman of Ariaria International Market, Chief Goddy Udunna , who spoke for the executives of the market, commended the Governor for the asphalting of Faulks road and the remodeling works which has changed the face of the market.

Earlier, some of the affected traders, Obi Collins and Chiabuto Anaba, lauded Ikpeazu’s efforts in remodelling the market and for his various road projects.

They pledged support for his senatorial bid.

NAN Returns New Innoson Bus, Says It’s Faulty The Second Time

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) has demanded the immediate replacement of a new bus supplied to the agency by Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Limited.

The demand was made in a letter the agency despatched to Innoson even as it expressed regrets over the patronage of Made-in-Nigeria vehicles.

The letter dated 16 January and signed by the agency’s Principal Legal Officer, Mojirola Eniola, stated in part:

“Following the failure of your organisation to meet our demands for the evacuation and replacement of the faulty 30-seater bus (IVM6751) supplied to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) within seven (7) days of the receipt of our letter dated January 6, 2023, we have been left with no choice but to return the vehicle to your premises.”

NAN reports that this is the second time the agency would be rejecting the company’s vehicles due to either non-compliance with specifications or mechanical fault.

In line with the Buhari administration’s admonition to patronise local industries, the agency had some time in 2021 approached the motor vehicle plant to supply it with a 30-seater bus for its workers.

The agency had paid Innoson the sum of N49.5 million, including taxes, for the purchase of the bus on 17 November 2021.

Trouble, however, started when the company on 16 November 2021, delivered a 30-seater bus that was not in line with the specifications it reached with the Agency.

The agency promptly rejected the bus and directed its solicitors to demand a replacement in line with the agreed specifications.

Atiku-Okowa AD

In its 1 February 2022 letter to Innoson through its solicitors, the agency demanded a replacement within 14 days or face legal action.

Responding to the threat, Innoson in a letter dated 14 February 2022, apologised to NAN for the inconvenience it had caused the Agency.

“We want to use this medium to apologise to your client (NAN) for any inconvenience that they may have experienced due to their complaint,” the letter signed by a director, Jonas Ojukwu, said.

Mr Ojukwu, who in the letter claimed that his company does not sell refurbished vehicles, promised to replace the rejected vehicle.

“We will bring in a replacement brand new Innoson 30-seater bus to your client (News Agency of Nigeria) before the fourteen (14) days that you stated from the date of receipt of your letter and we shall retrieve the one supplied before now.

“We want to assure you that our business relationship will not be thwarted by any form of dissatisfaction for our desire is to serve our customers to the best of their satisfaction,” Mr Ojukwu stated.

In spite of the assurances in Mr Ojukwu’s correspondence, the replacement vehicle delivered to NAN on 8 April 2022 only worsened the agency’s transportation woes as it was dogged by successive mechanical faults.

Before the eventual evacuation of the vehicle to the Innoson Abuja office, the bus had been lying idle on the agency’s premises for several months due to mechanical faults.

The Agency’s Head of Technical Department, Aaron Miller, said the vehicle since delivery had been permanently grounded due to a faulty gearbox.

He said several appeals made to the Innoson Abuja office to evacuate the vehicle for repairs were ignored.

“We made several representations to them to repair this faulty gearbox all to no avail.

“On the three occasions their technicians showed up to ostensibly repair the vehicle, the problems persisted, causing embarrassment to the agency, ” he said.

Frustrated by the vehicle company’s noncommittal response in evacuating the vehicle, the agency issued another seven-day ultimatum to Innoson Abuja office in a letter dated 6 January.

This was to be followed by a final notice in a 16 January letter and the eventual towing of the faulty vehicle to the Abuja premises of Innoson on Tuesday after the company reneged on its pledge to evacuate the vehicle.

When a NAN correspondent contacted Mr Ojukwu on phone, he said the bus would be repaired.

Was Pregnant 3 Times For Apostle Suleman - Halima Abubakar

Sex Scandal: I Was Pregnant Three Times For Apostle Suleman; He Did Sleep With Me While I Was Still Bleeding – Nollywood Actress, Halima Abubakar Alleges

Nollywood actress, Halima Abubakar, has alleged that she was pregnant on three occasions for Apostle Johnson Suleman, the General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries International.

Halima had in 2022 called out Suleman on social media while claiming the pair once dated.

She added that the cleric also had sexual affairs with several actresses, including Shan George and Iyabo Ojo.

On Instagram, Halima said that her life was in danger and that the cleric should be held responsible for whatever happened to her.

"Please don’t worry about me. But you can hold Johnson Suleman responsible, just in case. You can’t do anything, though. Nigerians are aware. If anything happens, Johnson, it’s you,” she had posted on Instagram.

However, in a recent interview, the actress claimed the duo dated for six years.

In a now-viral clip of the interview, Halima was asked if she was ever pregnant for Suleman and why she did not keep the pregnancy, she said, “Yes, I was once pregnant for him. When I lost the baby, he was crying, you would think it’s real because he was shedding tears that I lost his child.

“It’s crazy. I got pregnant three times for him. The last one got me bleeding…I had to take tablets to stop it.”

On how long it took the bleeding to stop, she replied “For four years, I actually just came out since I have been in a long spiritual battle; the blood just stopped rushing, you won’t believe it.

“He was sleeping with me even while I was bleeding. That’s the dangerous part of it, and he was telling me he couldn’t sleep with any other person, that’s why
.

“The whole thing took me unaware because I was naive and not a spiritual person. Even when I’m on my period, he does that (sleeps with me).”

This is not the first time Apostle Suleman will be involved in sexual scandal.

In 2021, Another Nollywood actress, Chioma Ifemeludike, claimed she was in a sexual relationship with the overseer of the Omega Fire Ministries Worldwide.

The actress and producer, who has been in the Nollywood industry for nine years, had revealed that she had no idea that the man of God was quite prominent at the time she had an intercourse with him.

Chioma on her Instagram page recalled that the first deal of her encounter of romp sex with the man of God was sealed through a hookup by another lady, Linda Clems, noting that at the second time, she clearly recognised him because they exchanged numbers during the first romp and communicated thereafter.

In a video obtained by SaharaReporters, she added that her public confession came after her spirit continued to torment her, and she needed to make restitution for her sin.

SaharaReporters also in February 2021 reported that a former pastor of the Omega Fire Ministries, Mike Davids, accused Suleman, of sleeping with his wife.

He added he was ready to expose the truths behind Stephanie Otobo’s sex scandal.

The case of Otobo, a Canada-based singer, came up in 2017 and 2018 when she accused Suleman of sexual relationship – a controversial scandal that plagued the church and attracted the attention of Nigerians for months.

Davids in a video had noted that he and Suleman both knew how they got Otobo to come to the church in Auchi, and apologise over the scandal and how they persuaded her mother too. Davids had accused Suleman of sleeping with his wife, Faith Edeko, who currently heads an Abuja branch of the church.

He had said, “I left the church (Omega Fire Ministries) of my freewill. You were never the one who sent me out of that ministry. I was tired of your ungodliness as a leader. And that was the major reason I left that ministry. So, forget those manipulations and cheap lies.

“We all know the part I played in the Stephanie Otobo saga. You know as much as I do. How much involved I was in bringing that saga to a halt. I don’t even need to mention names. You knew how we got Stephanie Otobo to come to the altar and apologise to mama (Suleman’s wife) and brought Stephanie Otobo’s mother to Auchi.

“I am coming to that issue because you are pushing me to that extent, Apostle Johnson Suleman as much as I knew what happened. Thirdly, I am also aware that my account has been frozen. You have also released policemen to get me arrested.

“You have 48 hours to ask those who are blocking my account to unblock it. You will not like what is going to follow.”

In January 2018, Otobo accused Suleman of impregnating her and breaching a promise to marry her.

She claimed she had sex romps with the pastor in Italy, New York and Nigeria.

Otobo said she had pictures of the pastor exposing his private parts, evidence of which it said would emerge in court.

In March 2017, SaharaReporters also released a report on how Suleman, who was at the center of an adultery scandal, gave a $76,000 brand-new Mercedes-Benz 450 GL to Nollywood star Daniella Okeke in 2016.

Ms. Okeke was previously named by Otobo, Apostle Suleman’s estranged lover, as being one of the other women in his life.

For her part, the actress in 2016 proudly displayed the Mercedes-Benz SUV GL 450 on her Instagram page in front of a brand-new house where she parked it.

After her name was revealed by Otobo at a press conference covered extensively by SaharaReporters, some Nigerians invaded Ms. Okeke’s Instagram questioning the source of her wealth given that she had not featured in any prominent movies in recent years.

The more inquisitive among them took advantage of a new website for vehicle registration in Lagos State which unveils the ownership of any vehicles by its number due to a bug on the web page, and discovered that one of Okeke’s most prized possessions, the posh Mercedes-Benz car, was registered to “Apostle Suleman Johnson.”

“I want to seize this opportunity to inform you that we have more than 600,000 NNPP members in Gombe and we have defected and obtain PDP membership cards.”

According to him, the presidential candidate of Rabiu Kwamkwaso, should withdraw from the race and support the candidate of Peoples Democratic Party Atiku Abubakar.

He disclosed that 16 years of the PDP administration was a success because of the notable impact.

“Atiku Abubakar has the capacity to salvage the country from its present hardship and dwindling economy following his track record in the past as the Vice President of Nigeria,” he said.

Group Alleges Assassination Attempt On Abia Assembly Candidate, Hon. Nwachukwu

A socio-political group, Abia Youth Renaissance Movement, AYRM has alleged plots to assassinate the Action Peoples Party, APP House of Assembly candidate for Umuahia South constituency of Abia State, Hon. Chibuike Samuel Nwachukwu, called on the security agencies to intervene.

According to the group, the attempt started when Hon. Nwachukwu warned political parties to stop buying permanent voter's cards from locals.

The group in a statement on Saturday said, Hon. Nwachukwu has been receiving threatening messages and calls, warning him to withdraw from the House of Assembly race or "pay a heavy price for it".

The statement signed by the group Lead Coordinator, Chimamkpa Obidike read in part, "This press release has become very our last option in view of the increasing threats from people that appear like political opponents.

"We must also bring to the notice of the entire world, several occasions in which Hon. Nwachukwu has been waylaid by strange faces wielding dangerous weapons.

"Our suspicion is that his waxing popularity among his dear constituents has attracted this desperation to phase him out of existence. If anything should happen to him, the PDP and their leaders must be held responsible", the group said.

AYRM, therefore, called for increased security assistants around Hon. Nwachukwu, saying he needs to be alive and fulfil his divine destiny.

"His people want him for an assignment God has ordained him to carry out which by God's grace is nearer than before" the statement read further.
