Bwala: Afegbua Is A Nonentity In APC, Desperately Seeking My Attention -


 i]Dr. [i]Daniel Bwala, one of the spokespersons of the Atiku Abubakar presidential campaign council on Tuesday insisted that he is not on the same level as Prince Kassim Afegbua, former Commissioner for Information in Edo state.


Reacting to Afegbua’s statement in which he described him as quack spokesperson and uncultured Rottweiler, Bwala said Afegbua desperately wants his attention but he won't yield the floor to him.


"I will not bother to read it what he wrote because he is a nonentity in that camp and hence will no deserve my attention". 

"When they consider him worthy enough to be a spokesperson then I will engage with him. He desperately wants my attention but sorry, I am busy at the moment" Bwala said.

Buni Promises 99.9% Of Yobe Votes For Tinubu In February Poll


 Gov. Mai Mala Buni of Yobe on Tuesday pledged to deliver 99.9 per cent of the state votes for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu in the February Presidential Poll.


Buni said this in Damaturu when he received members of the Tinubu/Shetima Independent Campaign Council (ICC)on a solidarity visit.

He said that the APC enjoyed enormous support in the state in view of his administration’s infrastructure drive and human capital development.

Buni, represented by his deputy, Alhaji Idi Gubana, expressed satisfaction with the group’s work-plan for uniting all APC political support groups to ensure mass mobilisation of the electorate for the 2023 poll.

He assured the groups of total support and encouragement to deliver on their mandates, calling on the members to be law abiding before, during and after the election.

“You should desist from any discrimination in the level of support and commitment to the promotion of Tinubu and Kashim campaign; respect constituted authorities in all your activities,” the governor said.


In his remarks, Alhaji Umar Ibrahim, ICC National Deputy Coordinator, North, described the council as a platform that interfaced with various support groups for the actualisation of Tinubu/Kashim ticket.

“ The council will lead the way in collaborating with the Nigerian people toward suggesting innovative channels of national growth and development,” he said.(NAN)

Gunmen Kill PDP Leader And Four Others In Anambra

 


Five People, including a People Democratic Party (PDP) leader, were reportedly killed by gunmen in Anambra State.

The killings, said to be cult-related, occurred at Obi Maduka’s compound within Nodu town square, Nodu Okpuno, in Awka South Local Government Area of the State on Monday, January 2, 2023. 

The four victims were identified as Onyiebo Okoye – aka Onwa, Kenechukwu Okeke – PDP chairman in the area), Jude Ebenezer and Obinna Maduka.

According to a source, who spoke to The Nigerian Tribune, the gunmen arrived the house in a white tinted Toyota Corolla and shot four people who were seated inside the compound.

The gunmen were said to have driven off immediately after killing the four victims.

He said the victims have been conveyed to Amaku mortuary by their families after reporting to the Police who came to inspect the incident scene.

It was later revealed that the gunmen had pursued someone into the compound where these victims were seated, and as they did that, they opened fire on the victims who were seated and being entertained by their host.

Another young man identified simply as Nonso, who recently got married was also shot dead on Monday night, in the same Okpuno. 

When contacted, the spokesperson of the State Police Command, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, said he was not aware of the incident.

"I don’t have any such report before me. I urge the witnesses of the incident or relatives of the victim to come forward with information that will help police to embark on investigation, please." he added.

Yomi Gold's Second Marriage Crashes Less Than A Year After Their Wedding





 Nollywood actor Yomi Gold's second marriage has crashed less than one year after the wedding, IGBERETV reports.


The actor announced separation from his wife, Meenah, via his Instagram page on Tuesday.

Yomi was married to Victoria Ige and they share two children. However, their marriage crashed and he married Amina, aka Meenah, in Jan. 2022. They welcomed their child in April 2022.

While announcing the end of his marriage today, Jan. 3, Yomi said Meenah is a good person and should not be blamed for their failed marriage.

He wrote, 

“Me and meenah decided to go our separate ways..I want all our families and friends, fans to understand. This is no time to judge anyone.

”When love dies in a relationship. No one should force it ..” I want to use this time to thank everyone who has been very concerned and supportive. 

"Meenah is a good person.. she doesn’t deserve a man like me. She will make a great and loving partner to a far better person than me.

” I am not perfect.. I will work on myself and be a better person.

"This has to be published because we want everyone who knows about us to be aware of our decision. Time will be good again..”
