  Stan Alieke, the lawyer to the embattled singer, Speed Darlington has cut ties with him. Alieke announced his firm, Law Capitol separation from the singer in a recent post on his Instagram story. He wrote, “ I and my law firm (Law Capitol) have officially withdrawn from legally representing Mr. Darlington Achakpo PKA Speed Darlington/Akpi and cease to act as his legal attorneys. ” The announcement happened barely a week after the release of Darlington from prolonged detention in Kuje prison.   A  Lagos based lawyer, Chinwe Onuoha, has been arrested for alleged forgery of documents to obtain a bank facility . She was arrested on January 22, 2025 in Ikorodu, Lagos State. The lawyer was alleged to have forged lease agreement in respect of a property located at Teachers Estate in Ikorodu, Lagos which she reportedly submitted to the Bank of Industry to obtain a loan for her pure water production business . The officers of the Special Fraud Unit, SFU, who carried out the operations reported that they tracked down the lawyer to Ikorodu on the said date after she had been severally invited to their station to answer the said allegation of forgery of documents against her but she refused to honor the invitation.   The Ogun State Police Command has arrested two suspects, Emmanuel Kostad and Ayomide Damilare, for allegedly stealing items valued at ₦800,000 in the Sagamu area of the state. PUNCH Online gathered that the suspects were apprehended on 24 January 2025 after a man,  Kolawole Oke, reported the theft of several items from his site, including a block-moulding machine, two metal tables, a rammer, and nine pressers, all worth ₦800,000.   The Federal High Court in Lagos on Friday fixed February 27, 2025, for the arraignment of Gbolahan Obanikoro, the son of Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, and four others for alleged N1,356,057,330.43 fraud,  News360 Nigeria  reports.
